Fishing in the Lech Valley
A river rises in the middle. In this case, however, we don't mean Montana, but our original Tyrolean Lech Valley. The Lech in the Tyrolean Lech Nature Park is considered one of the last wild rivers in Western Europe and still has a largely natural and unobstructed riverbed. Anglers and fishermen definitely appreciate these conditions, because in the Lech Valley the wild Lech still flows freely, without dams, impoundments and man-made waterways.
Petri Heil!
At the headwaters of the Lech, near Stanzach, fishermen find the best conditions and an excellent fishing water and fishing area, which offers quiet places on idyllic banks, but also exciting rapids.
Over a length of approx. 60 km, the turquoise-colored Lech makes its way from the Vorarlberg border through the Tyrolean Lech Valley. The impressions of the Lech landscape and its side streams are calming and graceful.
You cast your line directly at Stanzach in the Lech district 7008, on the right bank of the river. The wide and easily accessible water is also ideal for fly fishing. As soon as the fishing season starts, you can pursue your hobby either with your hand fishing rod, casting rod, trolling rod or fly rod. With the right bait, grayling, brown trout or even rainbow trout will bite.
