Path of the Senses & Place of Silence
Art and nature for the senses. "The Path of the Senses" leads you through the romantic Hölltal Gorge and is like an art exhibition in nature. On the approximately eight-kilometer-long hiking trail, local artists exhibit their own texts and sculptures as well as Bible verses and depictions of local traditions.
Art in connection with nature and active movement in the fresh air is decelerating. The "path of the senses" encourages you to see, hear and feel everything that surrounds you more consciously. The sculptures along the path come from Ernst Schnöller (sculptor from Elbigenalp), the carving school Elbigenalp, Josef Sprenger and Gotthard Weißenbach, among others. A wooden suspension bridge leads over the Streimbach. Johann Ostermann has displayed the poem "Praise of Water" by St. Francis of Assisi on a carved wooden panel on the bank. At the place of silence you will then find your own personal moment of peace and pause. The way back to Bschlabs leads along the Bschlaber Höhenweg.
