Flax
Flax (also flax) is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Already 6000-8000 years ago it was cultivated by Sumerians and Egyptians. Finds prove its use in the Stone Age. The Central European region had an important flax production in the 16th century.
Today, linseed oil and linseed are considered superfoods. Flaxseed acts as a mild laxative due to mucilages that increase the volume of intestinal contents. The fatty oil in flaxseed also acts as a lubricant and promotes intestinal motility.
