Skiing in the Lech Valley
Time for more space is the motto in the Tyrolean Lech Valley, and not just for winter hiking or cross-country skiing. Especially when skiing, winter lovers experience what it means to ski without the classic clichés. No crowds at the lift, no overcrowded ski slopes, but lots of space and pure tranquility. Pleasure skiers, families and beginners will find their winter happiness on the Lechtal ski slopes. For sure!
3 T-bar lifts in Holzgau, Elbigenalp and Stanzach and two more lifts in the Auszeitdörfer Pfafflar and Gramais offer the best conditions to either spend a leisurely day of skiing with the family or for yourself to enjoy your turns in the snow. Beginners also feel in good hands here and can even improve their skills at ski courses of the established ski schools.
The skiing area Jöchelspitze is located in Bach. With around 5 kilometers of slopes and an 8-person gondola lift, it is the largest ski area in the Lech Valley. Skiers, as well as winter hikers and paragliders, can reach an altitude of 1800 m with the modern gondola lift.
Two slopes (red and blue) offer sunny skiing pleasure. The mountain station Sonnalm Jöchelspitze and the Lechtaler Hexenkessel at the valley station, invite you to stop for a break and offer cozy sun terraces and a magnificent view of the winter mountains.
Adjacent to the Arlberg and the neighboring ski resort of Warth-Schröcken, the Lechtal offers not only idyllic slope pleasures, but also spectacular as well as first-class winter sports fun with even more space.
